Trauma is stored in the body- so it is important to examine your sleep patterns, diet, exercise, hormones, and physical well-being while focusing on your mental health. It is also important to examine how past experiences may be impacting you today. I will educate you about effects of chronic stress on the body and brain. You will learn your “unknown triggers” by reactions in your brain and body. You will learn to quiet your mind and think positively. You will learn to “feel your feelings” so that your body can regulate itself so that distressful memories will no longer cause physical and psychological distress.
